The Military Institute of Communications – National Research Institute is a category A institute with several decades of experience in building secure communication systems solutions implemented and used operationally in the Polish Armed Forces. The implementations include proprietary solutions with IT security certificates up to the Secret (IP-Krypto, CHAMOMILE, GUU-3: SECRET) and Top Secret (UU-TSZ, SGCL-1MB) levels. For these implementations, MCI-NRI received prestigious awards and patents. The team of project implementers on the part of WIŁ-NRI includes people with scientific achievements and experience in the implementation of solutions in the area of security of IT and OT systems. The team’s scientific interests include machine learning, anomaly detection, cryptography, cybersecurity and modern wireless networks (including 5G). WIŁ-PIB has an Electromagnetic Compatibility Laboratory and a Cyber Attack Analysis Laboratory with a supercomputer with a computing power of 200 TFlops connected to the Pionier network.​
